Running a mix of CADconform versions from one pooled licence server

If you have some users still on an earlier version of CADconform (e.g. v7) and others on a newer version (e.g. v8); then you can run a mix of licence versions in the pool. CADconform always tries to retrieve its own version first, so you shouldn't have a problem with one version exhausting the pool of another version unless you have used up all licences. If CADconform cannot find a free licence compatible with its own version, then it may be able to retrieve a licence from a different version. The full logic for checking out a licence is below. These same rules apply for node-locked licences as well:

1. Check for a valid v8 licence in file "CADconform v8.lic"

2. If that fails, check for a valid v7 licence that has maintenance current in "CADconform.lic"

3. If that fails, open the licensing dialog requesting v8 licence information
    

1. Check for a valid v7 licence in file "CADconform.lic"

2. If that fails, check for a valid v8 licence in "CADconform v8.lic"

3. If that fails, check for a valid v6 licence that has maintenance current in "CADconform.lic"

4. If that fails, open the licensing dialog requesting v7 licence information

For CADconform v7.00.00 and higher:

1. Check for a valid v7 licence

2. If that fails, check for a valid v6 licence that has maintenance current

3. If that fails, open the licensing dialog requesting v7 licence information
    

This means that as long as all copies of CADconform are running v7.01.75 or higher and your maintenance is current, then you can move all your licence to CADconform v8. If you still have some copies of CADconform on the network that are running a lower version than v7.01.75, then you will need to keep that many v7 licences in the pool with the v8 licences.
